This past weekend Rich and I were rockin’ out with our…..socks out! 😛 To clarify, we spent our weekend attending Napa’s 3rd Annual Bottlerock music festival. The line up included Cage the Elephant, Imagine Dragons, Capital Cities, Young the Giant, Echosmith, No Doubt, and much more!
OOTD: Tobi romper (same style, but not the same print), Dolce Vita booties (on sale!), RayBan sunglasses
I went to the festival last year to watch OutKast, whose performance was nothing short of epic. I knew I had to return the following year. But when I learned about the line up, I was determined to go all three days versus one day.
We started our weekend by watching Imagine Dragons Friday night. Dan Reynolds, the lead singer, stunned me with his vocal range and musicality. Capital Cities was surprisingly very lively and upbeat. The crowd was dancing during their entire set!
The main stage and the massive turn out! Lastly, No Doubt, with their ska thumping 90’s hits, was the perfect way to end the music festival. I recall watching Spiderwebs on MTV when I was a young teen and falling in love with Gwen Stefani’s punk style, striking fair skin, and buoyant vibe. She screams originality. To see them perform live was a dream come true.
While attending the music festival, Rich and I stayed with my parents in Sonoma. Rich wanted to grab breakfast before the festival Sunday morning, so I took him to one of my favorite places in Sonoma–Community Cafe. I ordered Flax Seed Coconut Milk pancakes and Rich ordered Ricotta pancakes.
This quaint, country chic cafe serves breakfast and lunch 7 days week, and occasionally serves dinner with live music. On weekends, they offer bottomless mimosas for an affordable $14. They also have Sunday Breakfast Specials that changes weekly. This joint is a local favorite and free of the tourists you find at the restaurants around the Square. Give them a try if you’re in town!
