This past weekend I went to Hayes Valley to check out the Urban Air Market. The Urban Air Market is a outdoor community event that supports local economy and sustainable design by showcasing the works of San Francisco entrepeneurs. Here you will find local designers who are cultivating their unique business through modes of fashion, accessories, household goods, art, and more.
Urban Air Market premieres in multiple SF neighborhoods throughout the year. Upcoming markets will take place in Lower Haight on Sunday, October 10th and Pier 70 on December 17th.
If you are free on either of these upcoming dates, I highly encourage you to go! From hand crafted jewelry made from recycled metal to household goods constructed from re-purposed fabrics, you’re sure to find a gem that will be a great asset to you and your lifestyle.
One booth that caught my eye was Rustee Pace. Founded and fabricated by metalsmith Mike Danielson and Rustee Pace, this company offers edgy jewelry made from reclaimed metals.
Devon Chulick, owner of DSF Clothing, pays ode to the beautiful Bay Area with his unique designs and clever statements.
Frank Beneduci, founder and shoemaker, brings you Beneduci, a shoeline offering locally made footwear constructed by quality leather.
