Tis the season for holiday parties! I’ve got a fun and festive look that will definitely turn heads, thanks to an awesome boutique located in the Marina district called Y and I Clothing Boutique.
Y and I Clothing Boutique was founded by two college best friends by the name of Robyn and Robin. They opened their first location in San Francisco on Chestnut Street in 2006 and their second location in Dallas in 2012. At Y and I, you’re sure to find an assortment of trendy clothing and accessories at an affordable price. Their selection features items from Joe’s Jeans, French Connection, BB Dakota, Wildfox, and much more!
When I was browsing the boutique for a holiday outfit, my eyes went tunnel vision for this Ella Moss zigzag fringe mini skirt. The skirt has so much sass and personality. I knew it would make a great focal point for an outfit. For the top, I wanted to find something sleek and simple, since the skirt had texture. I decided to improvise and use a black blazer as a top. I tucked the blazer into the skirt, mimicking a plunging body suit. Piece of advice: double-sided tape will be your savior if you attempt an outfit like this.
And of course, an evening outfit is not complete with some faux fur. I found this gorgeous Gap faux fur jacket for $25 at one of my favorite consignment shops in San Rafeal by the name of Knimble. My BCBG faux fur clutch was a steal as well when I purchased it a few years back at an outlet for $50. I finished the outfit with a statement ring from H&M. I believe statement jewelry is the “cherry on top” for a holiday outfit. There’s no limit to how loud and proud you want your holiday outfit to get, so stack on the statement jewelry!
