Fall is around the corner, but don’t store away your Summer clothes just yet! The weather hasn’t completely changed so there is still an opportunity to sport some of your favorite Summer pieces. During this transitional period, feel free to mix Fall and Summer pieces together to make the perfect pre-Fall outfit.
Some ideas you can play around with are:
– A flowy maxi dress with a moto jacket
– Summer tank (i.e. silk tank, lace tank) with trousers
– Your favorite summer mini-dress with over the knee boots
– A turtleneck under a shift dress
– Your favorite boyfriend jeans with layers on top
For this transitional outfit, I decided to pair my favorite Summer trend with one of my favorite Fall trends: an off-the-shoulder top and a brocade pencil skirt.
I love wearing brocade during the Fall because of the rich hues and pattern that could be combined into one clothing article. I wanted to make this skirt the centerpiece, so I made sure to keep the top and shoes simple and one-toned.
When I came across this Bardot OTS top at Bloomingdale’s, I was immediately attracted to the dramatic sleeves. I’ve seen similar tops by Caroline Constas that I’ve fell in love with, but unfortunately did not have the budget for. This Bardot top is $79! Definitely a steal.
What’s your favorite way to transition into Fall?
