Don’t drop the ball on finding the outfit for the night the ball drops! NYE is just around the corner and I got some amazing party looks that I’m sure you’ll love. In this photoshoot I invited two of my favorite blogger gal pals, Brianna and Elisabeth, to showcase their interpretation of the perfect NYE outfit and I’m sure you’ll be just obsessed with them as I was! Also, make sure to check out their blog because they are amazing! Brianna is always putting together some epic vlogs, and Elisabeth always has some killer travel guides to share.
For this shoot we were fortunate to use Hotel G’s Rooftop Penthouse Suite as our photoshoot location. It served as the perfect backdrop for a festive and glamorous affair. Hotel G is one of my favorite hotels in San Francisco. It is home to one of my favorite bars, Benjamin Cooper, which serves one of the best Old Fashions I’ve ever had. Their hotel is modern and hip, and has rooms that are super spacious. Each of their King rooms has a tall tufted denim headboard that almost reaches the ceiling. So edgy! They just recently added three Penthouse Suites that are located on the 12th floor. The luxurious rooms have a large living room area, kitchen, bedroom with a shower, and private terrace with a fire pit. The suites oozes sophistication with their marble countertops, floor to ceiling wooden shelves, velvet couch, and concrete floors. Accents of black, marble and gold marks the penthouse. If you’re looking to bring in the new year with class, the penthouse suite is where you need to stay. It’s the perfect place for an intimate cocktail party.
For my NYE look, I wanted to boast a suit because I wanted to wear something that was feminine yet strong. I’m a sucker for any texture, like lace and baroque. But this holiday season I’ve been especially attracted to velvet. It’s such luxurious and timeless piece of fabric. I was over the moon when I found this two-piece suit in Burgundy from BooHoo at an incredible price. Although the velvet suit stands out on its own, I wanted to accent the outfit with a statement jewelry to take the outfit to the next level. What I love about statement pieces is that it can elevate a look from “date night” to “gala night.” Because I have a short torso, I steer away from big statement necklaces unless I’m wearing a low cut top. Instead I opted for an ear crawler, another fashion item that I am OBSESSED with right now. Under the suit I wore a lace bodysuit to create more femininity. Below I’ve linked my favorite picks so you can recreate my NYE look.
