I can’t believe Halloween is right around the corner! I absolutely love strolling through the neighborhood during this time of year. Seeing decorated homes on a street lined with trees with changing colors always puts me in the perfect “fall mood.” I grew up in Sonoma, a small town in the heart of wine country. Because we’re a small, tight-knit community, holiday festivities get pretty grand. Ever since I could walk, my mom would dress me in a costume she made from scratch (bless her heart!), and walk me around the neighborhood where hundreds of kids would be doing the same. As my cousins and I got older, we’d get more aggressive with our trick-or-treating. We’d make the neighborhood rounds, go back to the house with our full pillowcases, empty our cases, and go out for more. Our trips were an all night fiasco. The treats we gathered was enough to feed a family for the whole year! Memories like these makes me smile.
In lieu of the holiday, I decided to wear some “ghoulish” attire and rock a black-on-black look. If you’re struggling to put an outfit together, an all black look is great last minute outfit. Plus, wearing black from head-to-toe is ultra slimming. What I particularly like about this outfit is the top. I’ve been obsessed with are cold-shoulder halter tops. They’re universally flattering, and baring shoulders will NEVER STOP being sexy. I’ve linked my favorite ones below and most are under $30!
