This summer I took a trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, where the beaches are beautiful, the ocean is cool, and the tequila is great 😉 I was warned that the weather there is hot so I made sure to fill my suitcase with summer dresses, sunglasses and bikinis.
The resort that I stayed at was Villa Del Palmar, a beach resort located near the Arc. Here’s some photos from my trip:

I had breakfast by the beach every morning. It was so relaxing.
Cabo is a great getaway for those who are looking to celebrate, unwind or be romantic. With so much to do, the possibilities for adventure is endless. However, I’ve compiled 10 things that I think are a must when you’re in Cabo.
1. Glass Bottom Boat Tour to Lovers’ Beach – A boat leaves Playa Medano and takes you up and around the Arc with a tour guide. During the tour you are upclose and personal with the rock formations of the Pennisula while a tour guide provides fun facts. The tour guide was friendly, and surprisingly funny. At one point the tour guide gave each passanger a handful of tortillas to throw into the ocean. Once we threw the pieces of tortilla into the ocean a swarm of colorful fishes migrated to the boat to munch on the tortilla. It was amazing to see.
After taking you around the Baja Pennisula, the boat drops you off at Lovers’ Beach where you can purchase a Corona and wade in the water. Getting tired of the beach? No worries. There’s boat taxis departing Lovers’ Beach every 30-60 minutes.
2. Day drinking at The Office and Mango Deck – Cabo is known for day drinking on the beach and The Office and Mango Deck are prime spots for that. The Office is more laid back and offers a great menu with seafood dishes. I had their octopus dish and it was fantastic! If you’re looking for more Mexican fare beyond the resort (because let’s face it, resort food is not the best), Mi Casa and Tacos Gardenia comes highly recommended.
After finishing up at The Office, walk over next door to the Mango Deck where they host events and live performances. Expect to find an ongoing drinking contest, loud music, and dancing.
3. ATV Tour – If you’re looking for thrills, an ATV tour through the desert may just be your fix. This tour allows you to speed your way through the rocky and winding trails of the Cactus fields north of the Pennisula. The tour ends with a pit stop at the beach with a gorgeous view of the Pacific Ocean. Be sure to dress light because you will bake under the sun.
4. Try any watersport – With the Gulf of California as your playground, it would be a shame not to take advantage of a watersport. There’s parasailing, jetskiing, snorkeling, flyboarding, and much more.
5. Dinner Sunset Cruise to the Arc – Cabo has a few passanger boats that embark from the marina to the Arc during sunset hour. On board they provide open bars and a dinner buffet. It’s a great way to make new friends and enjoy awesome views.
6. Nightlife at Squid Roe – Cabo is known to round up adults looking to wild out during vacation. You’ll find these individuals at El Squid Roe. With three floors blaring music, you’ll find yourself either dancing on a table, kicking back in a cage, or fist pumping with the DJ on the main stage. Squid Roe also has a kitchen offering both American and Mexican Fare.
If you want a change in scenery, there’s plenty of nightclubs and bars within walking distance. I recommend Pink Kitty, Baja Junkieand Mandala.
7. Shopping at Puerto Paraiso – This shopping center is located downtown and retails familiar brands such as Kenneth Cole, Nautica, and Quicksilver. After some retail therapy, grab a scoop of Haagan-Daaz and walk down the Marina.
8. Rent a car and explore – Take a day to go on a mini roadtrip along Highway 1 and explore what’s beyond Cabo. I came across a quaint town with 18th century architecture called San Jose del Cabo. This historic town is located by the water and has streets lined with shops and restaurants.
In the maze of streets, I found the cutest rustic cafe called Lolita. From their plank wooden ceiling and espresso bar to their outdoor garden seating and scrap glass bottle decor, this cafe impressed me with their ambiance. Check out their dishes here.
9. Learn how to surf at Cabo Surf Hotel – Cabo Surf Hotel is a boutique beach hotel located north of San Lucas off Highway 1. This hotel is home to some of the best surf waves in Mexico. They offer group and private lessons. After catching a few waves, grab lunch beachside at the their onsite restraurant, 7 Seas Seafood Grille.
10. Relax – It’s easy to get overwhelmed with so many activites piled on your plate. Make sure to exclude one day out of your trip to do absolutely nothing. Remember, you’re on vacation. Use that free day to relax and reflect.
Can’t head to the beach without layering gold pieces. Necklace from Carylane and the rings are from H&M.

Because of the warm weather, lightweight clothing articles are a must. I bought this outfit from ANGL years ago and I still love it! ANGL has the top in two other colors as well.
