Denim is a major Fall staple for me. I like them distressed, deconstructed, cropped, frayed–you name it, I want it all. I’m always on the lookout for a new pair and keeping my ears open for news on current trends. This season, denim is taking the spotlight. Whether it’s embroidered or embellished with pearls, it is the ultimate statement piece in a fall outfit. And like most denim, you can easily dress it down or dress it up.
This blog post is dedicated to this embroidered number that I will be rocking all season long. I found this pair at Abercrombie & Fitch. I was pleasantly surprised by the denim selection they had for women of shorter stature. [In case you didn’t know, I’m 5’0 ft]. Their denim comes in the option of three different lengths: short, regular, and tall. With that said, I am happy to say I’ve added A&F to my list of go-to for Petite denim. There’s so much to love about this particular pair. The distressed construction, the frayed hem, and strategically placed embroidered patches. And the berry tones of the floral makes it very fall appropriate.

As we transition into Fall, not only does my wardrobe change but my beauty routine changes as well. So in lieu of the season change, I’m sharing with you my 5 favorite fall beauty hacks that I think every woman needs to know.
1) Use Chapstick as mosturizer – As the weather gets colder, I find my skin getting drier, especially around my knuckles, knees and elbows. For those time where I find myself without lotion, I dig into my purse, grab my Chapstick, apply it onto those dry areas, and rub it in. You can rub it into dry cuticles as well!
2) Have an at-home pedicure with Vasaline – Here’s another hack for dry skin during cold weather! If you’re struggling with cracked heels, apply some Vasaline onto heels (or entire feet), throw on a pair of socks and sleep with it overnight. In the morning you’ll have amazingly soft feet!
3) Turn your lipgloss to matte with concealer – Not ready to let go of your favorite lipgloss color? You don’t have to. Coat your lips with concealer and apply the gloss over it. Your favorite lipgloss will have a matte look for the Fall. And because the concealer also acts as a primer, your lipcolor will last forever!
4) Thicken your eyelashes with castor oil – Looking to thicken and lengthen your lashes naturally? Apply castor oil to your lashes before bed. This trick really works!
5) Turn your blonde highlights to ash blonde with purple shampoo – Ash tones are in for the Fall season. Turn those blonde highlights into ash blonde by washing your hair once a week with purple shampoo and condition. My favorite product is JOICO Color Endure Violet Shampoo and it’s only $10!
