Autumn has officially commenced and I couldn’t be happier. Fall is by far my favorite season for fashion. The opportunities to play with color combinations, textures and prints is much broader than any other season. One of my favorite autumn colors is burnt orange. Not only does the color simulate the changing colors of the trees, but it’s a warm tone that compliments all skin colors.
As I’ve mentioned before, playing with color combinations is a must in order to stand out from your peers. Of course, one of the most common neutral that we use is black. In this outfit, I’ve combined my neutral, black, to make the burnt orange stand out. Play with texture as well. Color blocking black and orange with similar fabrics can make you look like you’re celebrating Halloween early, and we don’t want that!
Petite Fashion Tip: wide leg pants with a paper bag waist or high waist will make you look “oh so fabulous”! Why? It elongates your legs meanwhile cinching the waist, giving you that tall, hourglass figure.
This top from Akira is one of my favorites from my Fall closet. It has a short collar and bell sleeves–I’m all about bell sleeves this season! Expect a flush of bell sleeve tops being posted on my instragram in the following months LOL.
