Seminyak is thee place to be in Bali. It has an amazing shopping scene, gorgeous white sand beaches, and home to the hottest night clubs. As the tourism thrives there, so does the foodie scene. Whether you’re a vegan, on a raw diet, looking for something upscale, or hoping to just dine on traditional Balinese fare, Seminyak is sure to have it. And much to my surprise, many of these restaurants are just as photogenic as their delicious food. Below I comprised a list of IG worthy restaurants in Seminyak that shouldn’t be missed!
Sea Circus — This cafe is circus themed (obviously!), so you can only imagine how bright and fun it is. Both vegans and carnivores will find something here. Their popular dishes are their acacia bowls and lattes. PRO TIP: Don’t miss the bathroom. Their vanity mirror is so fun!
Mad Pops Bali — Everything in this creamery is vegan and, amazingly, tastes so good! Order a scoop and shoot a pic next to their adorable neon sign.
Le Bistrot — This restaurant is literally a time capsule. The antiques send you back to the 1920s. Expect fancier fare here. PRO TIP: Order the pork belly dish with an old-fashioned on the side.
Motel Mexicola — Like Sea Circus, this restaurant is bright, fun and lively. It’s a restaurant by day and a nightclub at night. Next to La Favela, this spot is one of the hottest spots to party at.
Blow Bar — It is exactly what it sounds like — a blow dry salon with a fully stocked cocktail bar. I mean, what more can you ask for?
La Favela — This huge restaurant draws it’s inspiration Brazil’s colonial era. Dine in the courtyard engulfed in exotic plants or dine in a private room that looks like you’re dining in someone’s household. This restaurant doesn’t leave a single corner uncovered with detail. And I wasn’t kidding when I this restaurant is huge–there always seems to be a hallway or a staircase leading to another room or another floor of the restaurant. PRO TIP: At night, this restaurant turns into the hottest nightclub in town!
Kynd Community — Another Vegan cafe serving up awesome acacia bowls. But not just any acacia bowls, bowls that has phrases written out in cut fruit. You may even request to have you named spelled out. PRO TIP: Make sure to pick an outside table next to their pink wall to get the perfect photo op with your acacia bowl.
La Plancha — This restaurant is right on the beach and filled with colorful umbrellas and beach bags. It’s a great spot to watch the sunset!
Potato Beach Club — Anyone who’s been to Seminyak will tell you to go to Potato Beach Club. At the entrance, you’re greeted by an artistic landscape created out of recycled flip flops and shutters. Inside the club, there is a bar, pool, beach beds, and a dining area. The delicious food and tiki drinks will surely keep you there until sunset. PRO TIP: A wait for a beach bed can be up to 2 hours. But because the wait can scare off most people, you might get seated early. Just add your name to the list and order from the dining area, which is not a bad area to be at either.
