This weekend’s weather has been the most beautiful it’s been all year. The sun was shining, there was a brisk breeze and the temperature was at a warm 75 degrees. My girlfriend from the North Bay was coming down to visit and mentioned that she wanted to visit Lovers’ Lane. I had no idea what it was. Little did I know, this historic foot trail is located just 5 minutes from my house. It starts at Funston Avenue and Presidio, stretches one mile, and ends at Presidio Boulevard Gate. It’s been said that soldiers would take Lovers’ Lane to the trolley line to visit their lovers and wives back in the late 1800s.
This trail is shaded by gorgeous eucalyptus trees and adorned by an art installation called “Wood Line” by Andy Goldworthy. The art installation is a collection of wood that lines the trail in a zig zag manner. With the rustic ambiance, the buttercups in full bloom, and the symmetry of the installation, this spot makes for a very photogenic location.
During that day I wore this Kimchi Blue Flutterbye Jumpsuit from Urban Outfitters. What made me fall in love with this piece was the ruffle accent that drapes off the shoulder and lines the open back. I find this jumpsuit to be very versatile. You can take it to music festivals, wine tasting, or out to brunch. Whenever warm weather is to be expected, this jumpsuit should be your go to. This jumpsuit is now on sale for $50 and until 4/18, it’s at an additional 30% off!
