Wearing a graphic tee is basic right?…WRONG! Wearing a casual graphic tee could be edgy, fun, dressy; it depends on how you style it. In this post I’m bringing you three different looks using one graphic tee.
For this look I’ve collaborated with an awesome t-shirt company based in Northern California called Population Now. Founded by Michael and Jillian, Population Now brings you comfy jersey tees with edgy prints. This ‘Sundays Are For Brunch’ dolman tee caught my attention and I couldn’t wait to style it.
For my first look I put together an outfit that I felt was edgy, yet casual. I could see myself wearing this to lunch or shopping around Union Square. As you may have noticed, I’m a huge fan of my BLANKNYC faux leather jacket. But I felt my well-worn jacket needed a remix, so I threw a faux fur leather over it. It updated the look instantly. As for the bottoms, I scored these distressed denim on ASOS, which has a great selection of petite denim. The booties are Circus by Sam Edelman and I bought them at a major discount on Cyber Monday. I recall seeing them at Urban Outfitters and it was love at first sight. I mean….hardware, straps and pony fur?! That’s pretty badass.

Now for my second look I put together an outfit perfect for a spring vacation. What I love about this dolman tee from Population Now is it’s flowy structure. You can wear it loose and tucked in (like my previous outfit) or tie it in a knot with a high waisted skirt. You can also wear the tee off one shoulder or both shoulders.
When I spotted this Free People maxi skirt, I was positive that it was going to be too long, much like most maxi skirts that I try on. But I was pleasantly surprised! Even without my wedges on the skirt falls right at my heels, which is my preferable length for maxi skirts. I’m in love with the color and the button details.
I got these espadrilles wedges from Aldo years back and I still wear them like crazy! Espadrilles are my go-to during the Spring and Summer. I’m sure I’ll be adding more to my collection during these upcoming months.

For my third look I put together an outfit for GNO. You can take any graphic tee to a nightclub or bar; it’s all about how you wear it. To update a casual tee to an evening look, throwing on a ‘loud’ skirt is always a good choice. Think color, fringe or sequins! When I came across this faux leather fringe skirt at H&M, I was in love. And the best part is that I got it for $15! Lastly, an evening outfit wouldn’t be complete with lipcolor that pops. My go-to evening lipstick is ‘Ruby Woo’ by MAC.
