The holiday season is in full session and your inbox is flooded with party invites. So now the hunt for the perfect party dress begins! But what do you do when you’re looking for the perfect holiday dress? Most likely you’ll find a dress that costs roughly around $300-500. You’ll probably wear it once or twice before it gets buried in the back of the closet. Sure, you can wear it again next year. But by fall of 2019 the dress may be out of style. You’ve lost money and your closet has gotten that much more crowded.
My solution to this problem has been Rent The Runway. Rent The Runway is a clothing rental service that is sure to solve your shopping dilemma. With Rent The Runway you can rent clothing from high-end designers for as low as $20 a day! Designer labels includes Mara Hoffman, Self Portrait, Reformation, Slate & Willow, and so much more. And the rentals are not limited to clothing, there are purses and accessories available for rental as well.
All of the dresses I’ve worn below are from Rent The Runway!
Rent The Runaway offers two services: RTR Reserve and RTR Unlimited. RTR Reserve is limited to their inventory that you can rent for 4-8 days. This service is awesome for someone who is looking for a one-time use dress for a special occasion. With your dress rental, they give you the option of receiving the same dress in an alternative size just in case the other doesn’t fit. You receive your dress in a zip bag with a prepaid label, so when you’re done you can place the dress in the same zip bag and drop it at your nearest UPS drop off location.
RTR Unlimited is a service that they’ve just recently started. I currently use this service and I absolutely love it. RTR Unlimited allows you to rent 4 items at a time and switch them out as often as you like. This is great for someone who enjoys trying new outfits often. Their inventory is HUGE. You can find work attire, casual wear, coats, sweaters, and much more. RTR Unlimited is $159/month and so worth it if you switch up your outfits often. Both services take care of dry cleaning so you never have to worry about getting your items clean before returning it.
