I adore Fall Foliage. Unfortunately, there’s not much to be found in the city of San Francisco. So, the girls and I went on a road trip to the June Lake Loop, a small town in the Eastern Sierras. June Lake Loop attracts people from all over the nation who want to witness bounty of colors that June Lake reveals during the Autumn months. It’s a true gem for photographers and outdoor enthusiasts. When I arrived, June Lake was everything I had imagined. The mountains were slowly filling with color. The lakes in June Lake were blue and pristine. And the best part of all, we were surrounded by towering mountains.
During our trip we filled our days with outdoor activities, like kayaking and hiking. But on our last day, we wanted to relax and take in the views. And what better way to take in the views but with a picnic at one of the lakes? Gull Lake, one of the 4 lakes in June Lake, is small but offers amazing views. Fortunately, the edge of the lake was lined with piers that were perfect for laying down our blanket. That morning the lake was quiet and still. It was absolutely gorgeous.
When putting together a picnic, I make sure to grab a bottle of wine. But because we were celebrating the ending of a successful trip, I thought it would be great to grab a bottle of Prosecco. For our picnic I grabbed a bottle of Santa Margherita Prosecco Superiore. Santa Margherita is widely known for their premium white wine. Their Prosecco is made from the finest Glera grades grown in the hills of Valdobbiadene, Italy. It’s perfectly aromatic, vibrant and fruity–perfect for toasting to life with friends. Sharing a bottle of bubbly was the perfect ending to our glorious trip to the mountains.
